President and Chief Executive Officer, Donald E. Clow, FCA, has guided and shaped Crombie REIT into the company that it is today. Prior to joining Crombie, Mr. Clow held the position of President, ECL Developments Limited, the real estate development subsidiary of Empire Company Limited for two years. Previous to Empire, he was President of Southwest Properties, a real estate development company in Halifax. Mr. Clow is a member of the Board of Trustees for Granite Real Estate Investment Trust, a member of the Board of Governors of Acadia University and is on the Board of Directors of REALPac. Mr. Clow graduated from Acadia University with a BBA, earned his CA designation with KPMG and was designated a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2002. A graduate of the YPO President's Program at Harvard Business School, Mr. Clow also completed the Director's Education Program, receiving the ICD.D. from the Rotman School of Business.
Glenn was promoted to the newly created Chief Operating Officer (COO) role in November, 2018 with national oversight of development, construction, operations and leasing. He joined Crombie as CFO & Secretary in 2010 and was named EVP, CFO & Secretary in 2014. Prior to Crombie, Mr. Hynes was CFO & Partner of Bluewave Energy; a national fuel distribution business. From 1996 to 2006, he held several executive positions with Sobeys Inc. including EVP & CFO and EVP & Chief Development Officer. Glenn is a 2017 graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School and is a BBA graduate of UPEI and earned his CA designation with Coopers & Lybrand. He is past Chair of Atlantic Provinces Economic Council (APEC) and past Executive Committee member and Finance & Audit Committee Chair of UPEI. In 2013, he completed the Directors Education Program (DEP) at the ICD and in 2014, achieved the ICD.D designation. Glenn received the FCA designation in 2011, FCPA designation in 2017, UPEI’s Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2002 and Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award in 2000.
Cheryl Fraser is Crombie's Chief Talent Officer and Vice President, Communications. Prior to joining Crombie, Ms. Fraser was Assistant Commissioner and Chief Human Resource Officer for the Canada Revenue Agency. In addition, Ms. Fraser held Assistant Deputy Minister positions in the Correctional Service of Canada, Treasury Board Secretariat and Fisheries and Oceans. Ms. Fraser is a graduate of ICD-Rotman, Directors Education Program, and holds a Masters of Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. To celebrate her exceptional career accomplishments, she received the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
John Barnoski brings a wealth of experience to Crombie REIT, in his role as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development. Leading the company’s national development program, Mr. Barnoski is responsible for major development acquisitions and dispositions, as well as strategic asset management, with an increased focus on joint ventures. Mr. Barnoski has an extensive career in the real estate industry, and held the position of National Vice President of Real Estate at Shoppers Drug Mart immediately prior to joining Crombie. He is a graduate of Schulich's Executive Development Program and holds a Diploma in Assessment, Appraisal & Real Estate Management, a P1 License from the Law Society of Upper Canada, and an A.I.M.A. designation from the Institute of Assessors.
As Senior Vice President, National Development and Construction, Trevor Lee leads Crombie REIT’s development and construction teams, and oversees all major development projects in Crombie's portfolio. Prior to this role, Mr. Lee was the Senior Vice President, Western Canada. Before joining Crombie, Mr. Lee held numerous senior real estate positions in management, operations and development including: Director of Real Estate for Safeway Canada; Director of Property Management at CREIT; Vice President of Operations at Opus Building Canada; and Vice President of Shopping Centres at Martello Property Services. Mr. Lee earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia in 1992 and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics in 1998.
General Council of Crombie REIT, Fred Santini also held the position of Regional Vice President, Central Canada. Prior to his most recent appointment, Mr. Santini held the position of National Director of Legal Services and National Director, Lease Administration. Upon completion of an Honours B.A. in Economics and Political Science at the University of Toronto, Mr. Santini received his LL.B. from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in 1986. He articled at one of Canada's largest law firms, Blake Cassels and Graydon, and subsequently joined the firm as an associate after his call to the Ontario Bar in 1988, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and commercial real estate.
As Vice President, Financial Analysis and Treasury, Brady Landry is responsible for overseeing Crombie REIT’s financing, budgeting and forecasting. Mr. Landry has spent his career with Crombie, Empire and Sobeys. Prior to this role, Mr. Landry held Corporate Development, and Acquisitions and Dispositions positions at Crombie REIT. From 2004-2011, he held treasury and financial analysis roles at Empire and Sobeys Inc. Mr. Landry holds a BBA (Computer Science), MBA and is a CFA Charterholder.
As Vice President, Enterprise Information Systems, Jeff Downs oversees Crombie's enterprise management and information technology systems and teams. Prior to this role, Mr. Downs was Crombie's Vice President, Financial Analysis and Treasury, Senior Director of Finance, and Comptroller. Mr. Downs held various roles at Sobeys, including Director General Accounting (Atlantic), and Director of National Standards. Mr. Downs holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Mount Allison University and Chartered Accountant designation.
As Vice President, Atlantic Development, Steve Cleroux oversees Crombie's Atlantic Canadian development portfolio. Mr. Cleroux has held various leadership roles at Crombie, including Vice President, Leasing & Development. Prior to joining Crombie, Mr. Cleroux was Vice President of Real Estate & Asset Management-Atlantic Region, Sobeys Developments Limited Partnership (SDLP). Now in his twenty-eighth year working in the shopping centre industry, Steve has worked extensively and exclusively throughout the Atlantic Provinces.
Terry Doran has 30 years of experience in the Real Estate Industry. In his current role as the Vice President of Office Properties at Crombie REIT, Terry is responsible for the company’s office portfolio, which includes properties in Halifax, NS and Moncton, NB. Terry holds a BA from Dalhousie University and a Certificate in Financial Management from Saint Mary’s University. In addition to his commitment to building strong relationships with clients, Terry’s passion for sustainability has led to director roles with BOMA Nova Scotia, BOMA Atlantic (Past President), and BOMA Canada (Past Member Environmental Standards Committee).
As Vice President, Construction & Design, Eastern Canada, Aaron Bryant oversees construction, design and project teams across Central and Atlantic Canada. Mr. Bryant began his Crombie career with Atlantic Shopping Centres (which became Crombie REIT) in 2001 as a project manager. A graduate of the University of New South Wales, Australia, Mr. Bryant is a Civil Engineer, a LEED-accredited professional, and a member of the Association of Professional Engineers in Nova Scotia.
